We live right here in the big city
Its a hard place for stars to be free
The few you find are so itty-bitty
I wish there were more stars to see, more stars to see
If you look out my bedroom window
Theres a streetlight next to the tree
At night the sky is a blanket of black
I wonder whats hiding from me
I remember the time we went camping
My parents, my brother and me
So good to be out in the open
Ôneath a glittering galaxy
We walked the old dirt road
Felt the grit beneath our toes
And the fireflies mimicked a meteor shower
But if the stars were coming clean
Theyd admit their falling spree
Looks more like rockets blasting off silently
